Finishing
Our lives are full of technology but this doesn’t always give us more time. Quilt tops are like half-dressed children; they sometimes need a little help to get out the door. Finishing a quilt for someone is as rewarding as teaching and everyone benefits. I get a chance to work on different designs and you get a quilt that you can use.

Delivery time is generally 4 – 6 weeks, depending upon the existing workload.

Whatever stage your quilt is in, I am happy to help you finish it.

Restoration
Quilts age and wear like anything else. Restoring a quilt does not increase the monetary value. It allows a quilt to be enjoyed again, fulfilling its purpose, whether it’s wrapping around cold toes or bringing a spot of colour to a wall.

While some just need seams to be reinforced, others need a replacement stroke of love. If you have an old quilt you’d like to display, I can add a pocket sleeve to allow it to hang without damaging the integrity. If the edge (binding) of your quilt needs replacing, I’ll find a complimentary fabric to frame the quilt. Whatever your quilt needs, I’m looking forward to the challenge.

Restorations are calculated based on a charge of $30 per hour of work with a minimum charge of $50. These projects often require additional materials, which are a separate charge. 50% is due upon acceptance of the quote and the balance is due at time of delivery.

Commission
Quilts are tactile stories. They celebrate weddings, babies and remembrances, a way to wrap yourself in the comfort of the memories. Sometimes they tell our story: what we love, an expression of our personality and creativity. I have a variety of quilt patterns to choose from to create a quilt for you. You can see some of them in this gallery. I look forward to meeting you to discuss how we can bring your story to life.

Made to Order Quilts have a base price of $100 per square yard. There are additional charges depending on complexity of piecing design and degree of quilting wanted.  Once the proposal is accepted, 50% is due with the 50% balance due at time of delivery.
