How do you make a great retreat even better? Have two of them back to back! With enough interest to open a second weekend, there was room to expand the fun!
Patchwork in the Peaks enjoyed being hosted at Chalet 4 Vents once again for two weekends at the end of April. Quilt Fairy Gina wasn’t able to be there all weekend but she made a guest appearance for both Fridays. We were lucky to have another Quilt Fairy’s help in the form of Christine, from Kent. She is the sister of one of the first guests of Peaks and has been itching to come for some time. We’ve kept the format generally the same (hey, we go with what works) and had double the fun! The weather started out beautiful but went downhill pretty quickly. Not a problem as we were having a blast inside.
It seems that 10 quilters (plus a couple of extra Quilt Fairies) is a very good number for the new layout. Enough room at the ironing and cutting stations to access from each side, enough room to move around, and still loads of input from many creative minds.
The weather was pretty variable on both weekends but we did have a gorgeous opening day on Peaks 7.1.
We had a nice mix of new and returning guests and it never takes long to get stuck in.
Dinner always brings such a sweet finish…
Such beauties we saw at Show & Tell…
It was a early night for many as it had been a very busy day.
Come back tomorrow to see the new project, Peaks Harmony Swirls. 🙂
Happy Quilting!
